The death, on Saturday, of the father of multi-awarding winning hip-hop singer, Tuface Idibia, has been announced. The late Michael Agbo Idibia, aged 68, died of cancer in a hospital in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. He was said to have died of cancer. In a statement by the family, the deceased was born on 25 July, 1946; educated at Kansas University, USA, and retired from the Ministry of Agriculture, Markurdi, Benue State. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Owoyi Idibia, four children and grandchildren, among others. His children are Steven Idibia, Innocent 2face Idibia, Hyacinth Idibia and Oche Idibia.
While stating that burial arrangements for the departed Idibia would be announced at a later day, the family called for privacy from the public and the media at this grieving period. Tuface first broke the news of his father’s battle with cancer at an event by the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, CECP, Cancer Charity, on June 8, at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos.
