Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, have visited the injured son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lt. Col Adeboye Obasanjo. The younger Obasanjo, an army engineer, like his father, was shot at by Boko Haram fighters while leading a platoon of the 3rd Army Division from Jos to the troubled Michika, in Adamawa State.
Atiku and Fintiri were at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, the capital of Adamawa, where Adeboye is receiving treatment.
The Acting Governor lauded the armed forces. The injured Obasanjo was said to have express readiness to return to the battlefront.
