The free pre-paid metre project is funded by the World Bank, as part of its contribution to ensure steady power supply in Nigeria.
Addressing journalists in his office today, the Managing Director of the company, Mr Idris Mohammed, said it was also developing a plan aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply to residents within its jurisdiction.
He stated that three completed injection power stations would soon be commissioned to boost electricity supply in Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto states and its environs.
Mohammed also stated that power supply in the zone has improved tremendously, but greatly lamented the havoc vandalism has imposed on electricity generation and supply.
He added that its consumers now enjoy up to 22 hours daily supply of electricity.
