Imo State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwanso, has told a delegation promoting the presidential aspiration of Governor Rabiu Kwankwanso of Kano State why he cannot support him. Okorocha, it was learnt, confirmed having a similar ambition, but promised to support Kwankwanso, if he won the All Progressives Congress ticket to contest the office in 2015.
The leader of the delegation and Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport and Culture, Abubakar Nuhu Danburan, said there were fascinated by Governor Okorocha's blunt response.
“Our consultation with Okorocha is a good one. We told him we came to pay our respect to him and seek his support. We are fascinated with his openness of telling us about the same ambition, but he told us that if there is anybody he wants to be there, it would be Kwankwaso,” Danburan said.
Danburan also met with some supporters of Kwankwanso, where he spoke glowingly of his boss. He said Kwankwanso being a true leader has the capability to address the current problems facing the nation. Danburan cited Kwankwanso's performance in Kano State as justification for his belief. The commissioner explained that the people were tired of hearing same story being told of the country everyday, and said rather than hearing 'bring back our girls, they hear bring back Jonathan'.
