Joy, tears and hypertension were what Abekah Sampson got when he was told on the telephone that his wife had been delivered of quadruplets. The 56-year old unemployed Ghananian said he “jumped up in jubilation, amidst drumming and dancing throughout the principal streets of Kenyasi 2 ... and the over jubilation triggered my hypertension.”
“At our ages, 56 and 43 respectively, we thought all was lost, but God has visited us and blessed us,” Abekah said amid tears. Abekah, unemployed, and his petty trader wife said they looked up to God and supports from loved ones for the children’s upkeep. He said the infants consumed ‘three tins of canned foods, which cost GH¢90, and wear one pack of pampers daily.’
Afisatu, 43, delivered the female tiny bundles at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching hospital in Kumasi, Ghana, ending her 23 year childlessness.
