The mistrust and supremacist battle between Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and his ex-Governor Olusegun Osoba may soon see the latter's loyalists leave the party. A pointer is Amosun's Deputy, Segun Adesegun's rumoured decision to defect from the APC to the Action Group of Nigeria, AGN. Adesegun, who is believed to have been nominated for the post he currently occupies by Osoba, is one of the aggrieved top-notches of the party in the state. Others are Gbenga Kaka, Femi Obadara and Akin Odunsi, all serving senators, as well as members of the House of Representatives from the state.
Adesegun was short of stating that he would defect soon at a meeting attended with his party men from Ogun West Senatorial district, held at Gateway Multipurpose hall in Ilaro, on Thursday. He, however, revealed he had been attending meetings of the AGN.
