Ogunjobi Promises Better League If Elected As NFF President

Mr. Taiwo Ogunjobi, who is among aspirants vying to succeed Alhaji Aminu Maigari as President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has promised a brighter future for football in the country if he finally gets to occupy the Glass House in Abuja. Among improved plans that he enumerated are: to bring in sponsors to fund the activities and programmes of the Federation, to take Nigerian League to an enviable height among others. According to him ‘‘I will make sure our League returns to its glory and enviable height in Africa, like the rest of the world, we consolidate on youth programmes.’’ He added "One of our aims is to return all aspects of our football to its apex through international competitions, refereeing, sports science, giving us a voice once again in international football politics.’’ "The issue of sponsors is now an age-long problem, I will capitalise on the big brand now and make it more attractive to sponsors,” he further promised. “We will create additional funding for our programmes and projects through introduction of aggressive brand marketing and sponsorship drive with full support of the board." He also pledged to make welfare of players, workers in the Federation dear to his heart. The Chairman of Osun State FA has held various positions in football administration which include General Manager of Julius Berger FC(2000-2001); Secretary General NFA (2002-2005); NFF Executive Committee Member (2006-2010); Chairman Technical Committee NFF (2006-2010); Chairman Osun FA (2006 till date), Chairman Abuja sub-seat U17 World Cup 2009 and Chairman Prime FC(2013).
