Chief Maxi Okwu, the factional leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has faulted the party Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, over the purported endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan by the party for the 2015 presidential election.

Ukwu explained that the endorsement was rather unfortunate, given that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was yet to recognise the President as its candidate.

He made the statement when a faction of South-East Stakeholders & Executive Members of the party paid him a visit in his Achi country home.

Ukwu said that Governor Obiano has erred by using APGA’s platform to endorse President Jonathan.

He also described as undemocratic the alleged imposition of Chief Victor Umeh by Governor Obiano, as APGA’s sole candidate for Anambra Central senatorial zone in the 2015 general elections.

Ukwu who said he was extremely shocked by Obiano’s statement, is calling on the governor to shun the imposition of any candidate on the people so that peace may reign in the state.
