Former governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife has said Muhammadu Buhari would be defeated next year by President Goodluck Jonathan, even by a wider margin than he did in the 2011 presidential election if the retired general eventually emerged as flag bearer of the APC.
Buhari, who was the first runner-up in the 2011 presidential election, is seeking to the All Progressives Congress’ presidential ticket.
Ezeife on Tuesday said that none of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the APC can defeat Jonathan because he has divine backing.
According to the Presidential Adviser on Political Matters to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, “Jonathan appears to be a tool in the hands of God. God does everything with a purpose and it doesn’t appear God has finished with Jonathan. Others can contest for the Presidency, at least, that will make money to flow around to poor people. There will be no change in Aso Rock after the 2015 presidential election.”
“There will be no contest. Buhari is no match for Jonathan. This is a clear case. Look at how Ebola ended in Nigeria. They are still battling with it in America. Look at the level of development that is going on. Jonathan always acts as if he doesn’t know what he is doing but he will be doing everything right.’’
