Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, yesterday (Sunday), dispelled the rumour that he had been tipped as running mate to former Head of State and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari. Fashola spoke in Lagos while rendering account of his stewardship in the last 2,700 days. Fashola stressed that there was nothing beyond the ordinary with his attending Buhari's declaration at the Eagles Square, Abuja. Explaining, Governor Fashola said he was personally invited by the former soldier and attended also because it was an event by his party.
The governor also said he favoured a primary election, as provided in the party Constitution, rather than a consensus arrangements among aspirants to pick his successor.
