PDP chapter in Gombe State have described as empty noise opposition against the state Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, who was yesterday picked by them as sole candidate for the 2015 governorship election. The PDP state executive committee, which made the selection, said it knew “they (opposition) will talk. But when it comes to the real test, I am sure you won’t find them … empty noise by empty barrels that are not on the ground, said Joshua Lidani, a senator representing Gombe South senatorial zone.
The lawmaker, who spoke for the exco, said Dankwambo earned his adoption because “He has brought a lot of achievements; he has recorded a lot of successes in the educational, economic and social sectors of the state.”
Lidani also said the governor “has brought peace, tranquility and shown commitment to transparency and accountability in governance. The party also adopted the decision of its national leadership to make P resident Goodluck Jonathan its sole candidate in 2015.
