Another military helicopter has crashed in Adamawa State, three days after a similar incident occurred in Damare, in Girei Local Government Area of the state. The latest crash was reported to have occurred near the Modibbo Adama University of Technology around 9 p.m. The crashed helicopter was suspected to be carrying military equipment and had flown along another helicopter. The accompanying helicopter was said to have detoured immediately the other went down.
This made the third military helicopters to be lost in the Federal Government’s onslaught against the terrorists Islamic group, Boko Haram. On 12 September, a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, an Alpha Jet (NAF 466), went missing, and another crashing on 11 November. There has not been any official reaction to the incident from the Defence Headquarters and the Nigerian AirForce.
