Boko Haram: Gombe Govt Closes Schools

Gombe State Government, Wednesday, ordered all public and private schools closed, following yesterday’s (Tuesday) terrorists attack on two towns, Nafada and Ashaka, in the state. Similarly, the fell under a vicious spell, last week, when terrorists detonated an explosive at a motor park in the state capital, Gombe. While many believed the spate of attack spurred the decision to shut the schools, the state government says otherwise. Online newspaper, Premium Times, quoted the Permanent Secretary, Gombe Government House, Sani Jauro, as saying the closure was a “normal mid-term break for students.”
