President Goodlcuk Ebele Jonathan will Friday preside over Nigeria's Honorary International Investment Council's, HIIC, meeting in London, United Kingdom.
A statement by his Senior Special Adviser on Media, Reuben Abati, on Wednesday said the discussions will hold on Nigeria's economic development and how to make it more competitive globally, attract more direct foreign investments that will boost industrial growth and create jobs.
The ways to upgrade and expand public infrastructure, drive opportunities and reforms in the rail transportation, power and construction sectors will form part of deliberations at the meeting.
Baroness Lynda Chalker, the United Staes of America, USA coordinator of the HIIC, will lead council's key members to the meeting. They include Haruki Hayashi of the Mitsubishi Corporation, Total Yves Louis Darricarrere, Andy Brown (Shell), Guillame Roux (Larfarge), Aliko Dangote, Mr. Jim Ovia and Umaru Mutallab.
On this side also are some state governors and Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees on Transport. Along with Jonathan are the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke; Minister of Industry Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, the Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, Minister of Defence, Gen Aliyu Gusau (rtd.) and Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar.
