Ribadu’s Brother Flees Kidnappers’ Den

Kidnapped Sani Ribadu, a brother to the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, regained freedom by escaping from his abductors around 2 a.m. He was said to have walked to safety from the bush around Girei Local Government, where the abductors kept him. He was abducted by three gunmen in his farm along the Yola-Fufore expressway, around 6:30p.m last Sunday.

Sani’s brother, Arabi, told Premium Times that Sani trekked from the bush to a Sangere, a nearby village, observed the Muslim morning prayer, Fajr, before taking a public transport home. Sani is a former chairman of Yola Local Government.
