A suicide bomber, late Friday, detonated an explosive at Magasiku Filling Station, opposite the NNPC mega filling station, Hotoro, Kano, killing six people. Some others were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals. The suicide bomber pretended he wanted to buy Petroleum Motor Spirit like others on a queue before detonating the apparently bomb-wired vehicle. The impact of the blast was heavy and it created a deep crater on station’s concrete floor, which the Kano State police commissioner, Aderenle Shinaba, confirmed. Shinaba told Premium Times that six station manager, a pump attendant and three police officers were among the dead. The latest incident is coming three days after a female suicide bomber blew up a school auditorium, killing one and injuring others, and eight days after another detonated an explosive-laden vest on bank customers waiting to withdraw money from an automated teller machine in Azare, Bauchi State.
