The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Muhammadu Buhari, Saturday, said activities of the murderous Boko Haram sect are “not sanctioned by any religion and (they are people) who subscribe to no known decent values.” In his statement, Buhari commiserated with victims, and their families, of the recent killings in Kano and other parts of the north. Part of his statement reads: “Once again, those who seek to influence our way of life, modify our faith and our most sacred core values, have struck, leaving in their wake lives brutally cut short, limbs badly broken and dreams forced to fade away. “But these people, whose actions are not sanctioned by any religion and who subscribe to no known decent values, will not succeed. “I urge all of us to demonstrate our time-tested compassion by providing support and succour to those affected one way or the other in their hour of need.’’ Buhari said the Nigerians “are resilient and strong”, and that the country can defeat Boko Haram based on its human and material resources. He said all it requires is political will, uncommon courage and unrelenting determination.
