Cote d’Ivoire May Play Nigeria In Friendly Match

Plans are in top gear by the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire to engage the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly match to help the 2015 African Cup of Nations, AFCON bound team prepare adequately for the tournament.

Although date and venue for the friendly are yet to be confirmed, a source from the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF informed Newsbreak.ng that both countries will soon sit to decide on that.

The Cote d’ Ivoire, Cameroon, Mali and Guinea are in Group D. The Ivoirians now led by Herve Renard have recently been dubbed as underachievers especially at the continental level  but, are seeking to shed that mantle and win the AFCON for the second time in their history, while Nigeria failed to qualify.
