Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has won the Barclays Premier League Manager of the month award for November. Pardew saw off strong competition from Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and Burnley boss Sean Dyche who all enjoyed a successful month. However, Newcastle’s run of one defeat and three victories, including a 1-0 success against Liverpool was enough to secure the vote for the Magpies’ manager. Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero beat fellow strikers Danny Ings of Burnley, Charlie Austin of Queens Park Rangers, QPR and Tottenham’s Harry Kane to lift the Barclays Player of the month award for November. Argentina international Aguero scored three goals in four games during the month including the winner in the 1-0 victory over local rivals Manchester United. The award is decided by members of the Barclays Panel a group of former players, journalists and key football stakeholders.
