Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi, apparently resisted` threats from the Boko Haram sect by leading Muslims in prayer early Friday morning and urging them to be courageous in the face of terror attacks. The Emir implored all the Islamic sects in the country to come together and defend themselves against attack by any unknown group, during the prayer held inside the Kano Central Mosque. Sanusi advised the people to go about their normal businesses, not to despair and that they should shun fear. He asked the people to be vigilant, especially when they are in public places, like worship centers, motor parks, markets, departmental shops, recreation centres and other crowded places. He also advocated local security guards in public and private organisations.
