Few days after the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, received a donation of N21.27 billion to fund his campaigns in next year’s general election, the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday announced he had done same. Unlike President Joonathan who received huge donations from PDP governors, businessmen and affluent party men, Buhari said he decided to tow the path of United States President Barak Obama by raising similar funds from  everyone who believed in his aspiration, including the masses.

Buhari said in Abuja that he had received over N54m through such means to fund his campaign in the same election. By adopting the Obama method, the presidential candidate of the APC said be free of interferences in decision making.
