Barely 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan paid a surprise visit to Borno State, Islamic sect Boko Haram Friday attacked Kayamula village in Konduga Local Government Area (LGA) of the state village, 15km to the Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri.

The villagers said the militants invaded the village killed several people and burnt down many homes and shops, according to saharareporters.com.

The attack according to a villager was initially resisted by vigilantes known as “Civilian Joint Task Force,” they were later overpowered by the sophisticated weapon used by the militants.
