Boko Haram: Chad Pledges Military Support To Cameroon

Cameroon on Thursday said the Chadian government has pledged to send ” substantial contingent” of troops to help it fight Boko Haram insurgents.  Cameroon has faced repeated attacks against the Islamic insurgents from Nigeria, fighting alongside Chadian mercenaries. The announcement followed a meeting between the two countries in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, but no figure was given on how Chadian soldiers would be deployed.

Also, Cameroonian army said it killed 143 Boko Haram members, who attacked a military base in the northern town of Kolofata on Monday, which government said was the militants’ heaviest loss yet on its territory.
