Fayose Shelves Rival Political Rally Due To Security Report

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose agreed to shelve a rival political rally he initially planned to hold at the Fajuyi Park Saturday due to unfavourable security reports.
A newsbreak.ng source in the state's police hierarchy said Fayose, though insisted, finally gave in because of the security operatives uncompromising stance.
Fayose planned the rally to coincide with the All Progressives Congress presidential rally, fixed for Saturday, too. His choice of Fajuyi Park, which is the entry point into the state capital, Ado-Ekiti, was suspected to be a ploy to prevent the APC presidential entourage from accessing the state.
This medium also gathered that not only did Fayose cancelled the rally, he is not in the state.
An aide of the governor who preferred anonymity said, Oshoko [Fayose's moniker] is not even in town. He should be in Lagos because that was where he said he was going this morning."
There is calm in the state ahead of the APC rally.
