A deranged man in Springfield, Queen, Saturday, killed his wife, daughter and mother-in-law before turning his gun on himself. Jonathan Walker, an ex-international basketball player, had also tried to execute another 12-year-old daughter, Christina Walker, but she survived the gunshot to her head and called the police on her dad. Before the tragedy, the Walkers painted a perfect family life, while relatives and neighbour related how Jonathan dotted on his family. But no affection mattered to Jonathan when he suddenly turned a. 45-caliber on Shantai Hale, 31; her mom, Viola, 62; and Kayla Walker, 7, one after the other in their bedrooms.
In minutes of Christina brave call for help, the police arrived but at the time Jonathan had fled. A five-hour manhunt for him only yielded his spattered brains, having turned the gun on himself and blowing his skulls off.
The 6-foot-6 killer dad played pro basketball in Portugal between 2008 and 2009.
