President Goodluck Jonathan's visit to Lagos State on Thursday has halted vehicular movements in areas he is expected to be conveyed. Regular and anti-riot policemen and soldiers, among other security agencies, lined the designated routes, including Ikorodu Road, Owonronshoki Expressway and the Race Course, in Obalende, where
President Jonathan would be flagging off the Lagos leg of his presidential campaigns. Roadblocks are conspicuously mounted to wade off intrusion along the cordoned roads. The visit has however spurred a harrowing experience for stranded commuters, who are faced with insufficient public transport buses and hiked fares. Jonathan is expected to kick-start the event at 11 a.m.
