On Friday, 30 January, some of the country's leading political analysts and newspaper editors will gather to discuss next month's presidential election at the newsbreak.ng Presidential Election Roundtable.
The event, the brainchild of Platinum Crest Communications, publishers of newsbreak.ng, is designed to look at the various issues that will shape the conduct and outcome of what is widely considered as the country's most important election.
Among the issues lined up for discussions by our A-list panel of experts are the strengths and weaknesses of the two major candidates, President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party and General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress; the readiness of the Independent National Electoral Commission, campaigns of the two major parties, quality of public debate around the election, major battle grounds for votes and the likely winner of the crown.
The result of the deliberations will be published in major newspapers and on online news platforms.
Newsbreak.ng is moved to organise the roundtable by our strong commitment to the Nigerian project and desire to see democracy blossom in a way that will make the country occupy its rightful place in world affairs.
