Police Arrest 24 Over Attack On Jonathan’s Convoy In Katsina

Twenty- four persons have been arrested in connection with the attack on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan, when he and other members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were in Katsina to campaign for his re-election bid.

Bala Zamasenchi Commissioner of Police in the state while addressing newsmen said knives, daggers and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects. He stated that the suspects and those aiding and abetting them will face the full wrath of the law after investigation is concluded.

Zamasenchi advised politicians to stop over- heating the polity and play politics in accordance with the provisions of the law and he told parents not to allow their children to be used as agents of inciting public disturbance during electioneering.
