Vigilante Member Shoots At Amosun’s Convoy

Members of the entourage of  Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State Tuesday escaped death by the whiskers, after they were allegedly shot at by a a yet-to-be identified officer of a local vigilante group. The incident happened at about 10 PM in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area of the state, where an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally held. It was gathered that the vigilante officer was at the area as part of security apparatus put in place for the visiting governor.

An eye witness who pleaded anonymity told Vanguard Newspaper that the vigilante member reportedly opened fire on the convoy even when there was no apparent need to do so.

It was gathered that, the bullet hit a white Toyota coaster bus with registration number plate Ogun 12 OGGH, conveying commissioners and other governor’s aides, which was few vehicles away from that of the governor. The source further said that some of the commissioners, who were already dozing were s many of scampered for safety.
