Kenyan Police refutes al-Shabab’s claim of killing 20 officers

Kenyan_PoliceKenyan police has refuted claims al-Shabab killed 20 of its officers during a clash in the north-eastern Garissa County. Mwenda Njoka, the Interior ministry spokesman, told the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, only one officer was injured. The Somali-based al-Shabab group were said to have ambushed the police near Yumbis village in Garissa County, leading to gunfights between them. An April attack on the Garissa University left 148 people were killed.
