Cholera Kills 20 In Bauchi, Govt. Begs Residents To Come Out For Treatment

Bauchi state government says 20 people have died due to a Cholera outbreak in Shira Local Government Area of the state, while urging its citizens to come out for treatment, the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reported. Danlami Baza, the affected local government information officer, in his statement on Saturday, said 200 persons have been admitted to a hospital. Shira local government officials also urged the Federal and State Governments and donor agencies to assist in curbing the scourge. Communities affected include Bakul, Dunmagari and Gallari, among others.
