Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) have killed about 50 Iraqi soldiers and allied Shia fighters in two separate ambushes in Iraq's Anbar province, AFP quoted provincial officials as saying. The attack was said to have occurred on Friday. ISIL controls much of Anbar province, including Ramadi and the city of Fallujah. Government forces and Shia fighters have been significantly successful in their efforts to root the militants from province. The development has led to the sacking of the military commander in Abar.
