Joe Igbokwe, spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, Lagos state chapter, has urged people querying some project exxpenditures of former Governor Babatunde to stop doing so, THE PUNCH reported. The newspaper said Igbokwe told it on telephone that opposition political party was responsible for the pillory of the former governor, explaining that Fashola's quest for standard projects spurred the huge costs he was reported to have expended.
“Fashola is not a hut builder. So, he built a bridge for N29bn? You can decide to build a bridge for N5bn. Anybody who is interested in standards can build a bridge for N100bn", Igbokwe stated.
“There are grades for everything; it depends on the way you want to look at it. It shows Fashola believes in standards.”
