US, Allies Bomb IS In Syria, Iraq After Death Of 17 Iraqi Soldiers

fallujahIn a quick response to the killing of 17 Iraqi soldiers, the United States and its allies have conducted 22 air strikes against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq during the past 24 hours, the Sky News reported. Four IS suicide bombers were said to have driven explosive-laden vehicles to an army barricade in the city of Fallujah, resulting in the death of the soldiers. About 15 other troops were reported injured. The US aerial bombardment also occurred near Aleppo at an Islamic State tactical unit, and a further strike hit a tactical unit and destroyed three fighting positions near Kobani, near the Turkish border, the Coalition Joint Task Force was quoted to have claimed.
