Akpabio Flies Overseas For Treatment After Crash


Godswill Akpabio, former Akwa Ibom state governor, has traveled overseas apparently for medical treatment, following an accident he was recently involved in Abuja. It was reported Akpabio, now a senator, sustained chest injury and had first been treated at the National Hospital, in the federal capital of Nigeria. Reporting on Akpabio’s overseas travel, The Punch said the former was sighted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, accompanied by five others, while planning to board a private jet. Akpabio’s Mercedes Benz G Wagon was reported to have collided with another vehicle belonging to the United States Embassy.
