Autistic Child, Parents Forced Off Aircraft in Zurich

Parents of an autistic child, who took ill moments before a  Swissair aircraft heading to Geneva took off, have aired their disapproval of the way cabin crew members handled them.

According to the parents, their eight year old son had begun to cry while they awaited take off. Rather than offer help to calm the kid down, the cabin crew had apologised to other passengers and  asked that the parents together with their kid disembark.

The mother, Ms Zalmanovich, who spoke to reporters, said they had to board a train to their destination after they were 'humiliated' by the crew.

The management of the Airline has since expressed their regrets over the insensitivity of the crew and have promised to look into the matter.

The family, however, rejected an offer of a free return flight back home.
