Customs Officers Arrest Money Traffickers At Airport, Hand Them To EFCC

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, have handed two people arrested last week for trafficking $271,135 over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The suspects are Owolabi Tijani, a staff of Patovillki, a cleaning firm at the airport, and Uwan Livinus. They were reported to have attempted smuggling the hard currency through one of the departure screening point. Thelma Williams, public relations officer, Airport Customs Command, said the suspects were arrested on September 3, 2015. Williams claimed Tijani, who was the first to be arrested, named other accomplices, including Livinus.
