I Snubbed Crazy Money In China To Stay In The Premier League-Odion Ighalo

Watford FC Nigerian striker , Odion Ighalo, has revealed that he rejected an offer of "crazy money" by a Chinese club to test himself in England's Barclays Premier League.

Ighalo, whose 18 goals in 23 games is the best strike rate in all four divisions in England 2015, said he was made an eye-watering offer, which he rejected because money is not everything.

.Hebei China Fortune made a £10million bid for Ighalo, who signed a new five-year contract at Vicarage Road last week, but the Nigerian striker insists he never seriously considered jumping ship.

He said: “They were offering me crazy money, but sometimes it’s not just about money – I’m still young, progressing my career. I wanted to play in the Premier League and I’m happy to be part of it.

“I signed a five-year contract last week and I’m not going to fold my arms just because I have security now. I want to work hard, keep improving every day as a striker and help the team achieve their goals."
