The Lagos state House of Assembly has moved to legislate a single term of five years single term for vice chancellor of the state-owned university. The assembly identified the struggle for tenure renewal by vice chancellors as always resulting in a crisis between management and staff of the university. The legislature during its plenary on Tuesday resolved to revise the law setting up the Lagos state University. Also, a stakeholders meeting to discuss the institution's problem and the non-accreditation of courses are the other concerns the lawmakers raised.
