Police Accuse Bank MD, Others, Of Stealing Millions Of Naira

police logoThe Nigeria Police has preferred charges of stealing and conspiracy against former manager of Cashcow Microfinance Bank Limited, Mrs. Titilayo Adesanya, during her trial at the Yaba Magistrate Court, in Lagos. Charge alongside Adesanya, for stealing of N14.5 million belonging to the bank, are a director of the bank, Olufemi Tinuoye, and another employee, Oluwakemi Adebayo.  The police prosecutor, Benedict Aigbokhan, a sergeant, told the court some other accomplices in the crime are at large, and implored the imposing of stringent conditions on the accused to compel their further appearances. Ruling, Chief Magistrate P. O. Ojo, admitted Adesanya, Tinuoye and Adebayo to N500,000 bail bond and two sureties, who must depositN250,000 with the court registrar. The sureties, the court said, must show verifiable evidence that they reside in the state and three year tax clearance payment. The case was adjournedto 12th October, 2015.
