Policemen investigating stolen cars in a cave in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S, found two children in crate therein, prompting their mother's arrest. Brittany Mugrauer, the mother, was charged Friday night with two counts of felony child endangerment. The Jackson County detectives said the children, 4- and 6-year-olds were found Thursday in the 8-by-10-foot crate furnished with vehicle bench seats, two small blankets, trash and thin wires. They claimed the younger of them was using his hands to eat a dirty, dry cup of ramen noodles, and asked why they weren't wearing any shoes, the children responded that they didn't have any. The children were not allowed to attend school, the report also stated. They were later taken to a hospital, and evaluated, bathed and given clean clothes. Their mother revealed they had been in the crate for days and admitted she sometime left them there. Mugrauer is yet to appear in court.
