The planned recruitment of 10,000 people into the Police Force has not begun, but the public should be wary of fraudsters, the police said. Ajayi Okasanmi, assistant superintendent and spokesman for the Kwara police command, urged the public not to allow fraudsters "take advantage of the recruitment information to defraud them of their hard earned money".

“Please disregard any invitation for screening exercise at any stadium, schools and other open spaces as such invitations are spurious. The command will adequately advertise on all media platforms when the recruitment commences," Okasanmi said.
