Saudi Authorities Arrest Ex-APC Gov. Aspirant Over False Claims

Ahmed Hassan Barata, a former senator from Adamawa state, has allegedly been detained by Saudi Arabia officials for false identity, TheNation reported. The Adamawa politician had a diplomatic passport and claimed to be a Nigerian Embassy official, a claim the Saudi authorities found to be false. Barata, though a member of the Peoples Democratic Party defected to the All Progressives Congress and had hoped to pick its governorship ticket for the 2015 governorship poll. Having failed in hid bid to do so, he returned to the PDP.
