Report: Ships Carrying Military Equipment, Others To Berth In Lagos

Thirteen ships laden with  military equipment, petroleum products, food items and other goods have arrived at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos waiting to berth.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication-‘Shipping Position’- made available to newsmen in Lagos on Friday.

The contents of the ships were petrol, bulk gas, crude palm olein, bulk rice, general cargo and frozen fish.

It stated that 40 other ships were expected to arrive at the ports with general cargo, frozen fish, bulk sugar, truck heads and empty containers.

The document stated that the ships were laden with bulk salt, steel products, wheat, containers, bulk gypsum, bulk soya, military equipment, diesel, petrol and base oil.

24 other ships were seen to be discharging containers, bulk rice, fertilizers, frozen fish, bulk sugar, soda ash, general cargo, bulk wheat, steel, products, diesel, petrol, kerosene and base oil.
