A family source of Steve Nwosu, the SUN deputy managing director, says kidnappers of the Nwosu's wife, Toyin, are being persuaded to reduce the N100 million being asked for her release, the PUNCH said. Although, the police said they planned to rescue the victim, but claimed not to be aware of the negotiation. Toyin Nwosu was abducted last Monday from her Ago Palace, Okota home on Monday. The abductors raid the area around 2 a.m and were also reported to have stolen phones and other items from the residents. An unnamed resident faulted police late response to their distress call. According to her, the speed boat the robbers escaped in developed a fault and didn't start until 20 minutes later, saying they could have been apprehended had the police arrived on time.
