We Have Been In Darkness For Seven Months, Kwara LG Boss Laments

Power generation in the country may have improved, some communities still suffer epileptic supply or in rare cases, no supply at all. Such is the case of Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. The chairman, Alhassan Bagudu has lamented the seven month power outage the area has been suffering. Bagudu said the council has spent a lot of money on solving the solution without success. He also said the power outage has slowed down economic activities in the area. The LG boss has also said the situation is slowing down the pace of work in the local government area. The community has appealed to Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to restore electricity in the area. Bagudu also expressed his appreciation to Emir of Kaiama, Muazu Omar, for donating  a 50KVA power generating plant to Kaiama General Hospital.
