National No Bra Day is observed annually on 13 October to raise breast cancer awareness among ladies and to raise funds for the research. It is a day to leave your bra at home and confidently spend 24 hours without it to promote breast cancer awareness.

Cancer can be treated if detected early. So, It’s important for women to examine their breast often because the sooner breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chances of beating it.

It’s advisable to do breast self examinations every month a week after your period.

The ‘no bra’ idea is a way of supporting survivors of breast cancer who are unable to wear bras as they need to hold their prosthesis in place after surgery.

While campaigners love the idea of No Bra Day awareness, others believe there are other ways to show awareness different from indecency.
