Police arrested Megan Ohara, 24, and David Ziskoski, 19, on Sunday in Palm Beach after an officer matched the two to a description given by the gallery owner. The pair reportedly stole a bracelet and ring at a gallery. The owner said the items, worth a combined $6,000 and were on a desk in the gallery. When police reached the scene, the artist reported entries in the gallery’s guestbook including "firstname.lastname@example.org" while another fake email entry included the name “Meg.” According to the arrest report one of the entries had Ohara's phone number next to it. The thieves had also written “Meg” on a drawing of a woman’s face next to a drawing of a penis. Once at the Palm Beach County Jail, the two admitted to writing the guestbook entries and confessed they took the jewelry. The report had Ohara saying, "If I knew that they cost that much, I wouldn't have taken it.”
The pair, charged with grand theft, was released from the Palm Beach County Jail late on Sunday.
