The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday arrested the husband of former minister of petroleum Diezani Madueke, Rear Admiral Allison Madueke (retd.) over allegation of money laundering. He was alleged to have laundered $600,000 through his personal account. A report said Madueke was grilled by interrogators for several hours, after which he was granted bail. Madueke’s international passport was reportedly seized by the anti-graft agency to prevent his escaping the country. Investigation on the matter is continuing, according to the EFCC.
