The New York State Police arrested a judge for driving while under the influence of alcohol on Saturday. The judge, Leticia Astacio, was also said to have refused to take a Breathalyzer test. Astacio was said to have damaged her vehicle in what appeared to be a one-car crash. She was said to have worked in the drunk driving bureau of the the Monroe County DA’s office before being elected as judge two years ago.
Astacio, who was to preside over a Rochester court was ticketed by the police and will now face a court next month for charges of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
